About us
Mary Medical school named after S. A. Nyyazov was opened on the basis of Resolution 1069 of the Council of Ministers of Turkmenistan , September 15, 1953 and the resolution 1489 of the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan dated September 25, by the law number 1489 was renamed “ The School of Nursing”. In the first academic year, 90 students were admitted to the school which was divided into medical and obstetrical groups. By order of the Ministry of Health of Turkmenistan dated July 31, 1954 No. 1364 our school is named “Mary Medical School”. Then our school’s name was changed several times:
1959-The Republican Medical college in Mary;
1993- Mary district Medical school named after the President of Turkmenistan S. A. Nyyazov;
2002- Mary Medical school named after the President of Turkmenistan S. A. Nyyazov;
2007- Mary Medical Secondary school named after the President of Turkmenistan S. A. Nyyazov;
2007- Mary Medical Secondary school named after S. A. Nyyazov;
During the years school was headed by S. Yazmyradov, S. Atajanov, K. Geldiyev, H. Atdayev, and in recent years O. Garajayeva, O, Shagulyyeva and others. In first years of our school the work of the experienced teachers such as B. Allabayev, O. Nuryyev, G. Halnazarov, A. Nazarova, G. Bogachova, G. Kutiyev, R. Allabergenov in training of specially qualified healthcare professionals can be noted. In recent years in our school SH. Rejepov, CH. Edilov, N. Lobanowskaya, B. Annadurdyyev, O. Artykgulyyeva, M. Kurrayev, M. Rejepov, A. Amanova, A. Charyyeva, K. Zamanov, Y. Garryyev, A. Kakajanov, A. AnnagurbanovS. Nurmammedov, N, Bazarov, M. Annamyradov, A. Kadyrova, M.Ylyasov, H. Oweznepesov have worked hard in training qualified specialists as: medical feldsher, sanitary feldsher, laboratory feldsher, nurse, family nurse, dental technician, pharmacist, midwife specialist in maternal specialties were trained.
Nowadays they do not work only in our velayats but also in different parts of the country, in various positions and professions and make a worthy contribution to the protection of human health which is the greatest wealth of our country.
Medical school-today
With the recognition of Turkmenistan as an Independent and permanently Neutral State the main content of educational work at the Medical school has changed greatly. There are classrooms for studying and leisure equipped with modern high tech in our school building and its dormitory.
Our President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s national policy for the best education system has set new tasks and responsibilities for our school teachers and students. The school has all the facilities to train young professionals who are well-trained in using modern interactive innovative equipment.
